Best Key Sets for FPS, MOBA & MMO Games
Different genres ask completely different things from your left hand. A Valorant player lives on movement and a handful of ability keys; an MMO raider juggles three full action bars. Training the right keys for your game is far more effective than drilling random ones — so Left Hand Trainer ships with presets tuned to each genre.
FPS — Valorant, CS2, Apex
Shooters reward clean movement and instant ability use. The keys that matter most:
- Movement: W A S D plus SHIFT (walk) and CTRL (crouch).
- Abilities: Q E C F for utility, R for reload/ult.
- Weapons & utility: number row 1–4, plus G (drop) and B (buy/plant).
Use the FPS preset and focus on going from a movement key to an ability key without fumbling — that transition is where most fights are won or lost.
MOBA — League of Legends, Dota 2
MOBAs are an abilities-and-items game. Your left hand barely moves position but fires constantly:
- Abilities: Q W E R — the core combo keys.
- Summoners: D and F (flash timing wins games).
- Items & recall: number row 1–7 and B.
The MOBA preset drills exactly these. Combo mode is especially useful here — practise firing ability sequences like Q→W→E→R cleanly under time pressure.
MMO — World of Warcraft, FFXIV
MMOs demand the widest reach: multiple action bars accessed with modifiers.
- Main bar: 1–6 plus Q E R F T G.
- Modifiers: SHIFT and CTRL to multiply every bind.
- Reachable extras: Z X C V.
The MMO preset stretches your hand across the whole cluster so hitting 5 or T mid-rotation stops requiring a glance down.
Train it, then take it in-game
Pick your preset, run a few rounds a day, and check the heatmap to find your slow keys. Within a couple of weeks the binds that used to need a glance will fire on instinct.
